“These events have been great. Lilianna gets so excited every time she hears there will be a neighbours social. We plan to bring a South African ‘brai’ to the Street Feast in 2024.” Lilianna (10) “Can I be a junior Home Together Agent please?” She welcomed all visitors, showed them to the coffee van and informed them that the treats were all free.

Community Action
In collaboration with another community, Whitethorn, the Elsmore residents put together an amazing yard sale. Yard sales are a great way to divert goods from landfills, build community, and find affordable sales.
Working Together
As one of their final programme events, Elsmore residents asked for First Aid Training to better equip neighbours to help in case of an emergency. With the help of the Order of Malta, neighbours learned the basics of first aid.
Celebration
Our Elsmore Social was a hit. There was a talented magician that entertained the younger folks with balloon animals and magic tricks. The older adults were able to chat over some food and drinks. Everyone left with new friends!
