Background

Our ambition is simple – to help create happy places for people to live, where neighbours feel connected and supported by each other. Here we are celebrating over 4 years of Home Together.

Cairn, Ireland’s leading home and community builder, collaborated with Neighbourhood Network, the experts in building supportive and resilient neighbourhoods, and brought the Home Together initiative to their developments in 2021.

The purpose of Home Together is the creation and development of vibrant, supportive communities within new Cairn neighbourhoods. We acknowledge that moving to a new place, where you don’t know your neighbours can be challenging. The Home Together initiative supports residents with the resources to foster a culture of connectedness, with the ambition of shaping neighbourhoods into happy places where people live in harmony and feel supported by one another.

The aim of Home Together is to open up communication among residents and to kickstart community participation. We identified that success was dependent on participation and drive of the residents themselves, so our goal was to begin the process and support residents with help and resources to ensure that any project get off the ground successfully.
