Nyne Park

In July 2025, Nyne Park hosted its first Coffee Morning, drawing between 70 and 100 neighbours to the estate’s large green space. Families, young professionals, and long-time locals came together, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere. Even before the coffee van arrived, residents stepped in to help with set-up, and conversations quickly turned to ideas for volunteering, community building, and forming a Residents’ Association.

The event revealed the many different interests already present in the estate—from the organised dog-walking group to young teens hoping to meet more friends. A highlight came from a recently divorced mother who attended with her adult son: “It’s a new start for both of us! We love our new place, but we would have loved a garden. It would be great to start a community garden—my son would love it!”

With so much enthusiasm for shaping the neighbourhood, the Coffee Morning marked a strong beginning for Nyne Park, sparking connections and setting the stage for more resident-led initiatives in the months ahead.
